When Makena Resort was bought out of bankruptcy in 2010, the staff morale was at an all-time low. Dr. Greenwood was hired to be Director of Training & Organizational Development, and tasked with improving morale and increasing the quality of service at the resort. Her leadership and staff training programs helped create a heartfelt, friendly workplace filled with "aloha spirit." With renewed commitment of the staff, the Resort improved its Trip Advisor guest satisfaction ranking  among Maui's premier hotels from the bottom to the top tiers.
